This beautiful, must-see garden, designed by O. C. Simonds, sits on just under an acre of the 1880s Byron Laflin Smith estate, which originally stretched from the lake to Sheridan Road.  The home's origin is a gardener's cottage that survived the redevelopment of the street in the 1920s as an estate neighborhood.
