Understanding and appreciateing the richness of the local cultural heritage at the Lake Forest Library. The building and art constitute one of the most significant small-city libraries in the US and one of the Chicago area’s most important museums of art and interior design.
This free event lead by local historian Arthur Miller will explore the building’s original 1931 “conservative modernism” and Art Deco interior design detail and 1977 Miesian International Style wings and its art.
