LFPF Announces East Side Walking Tour

The Lake Forest Preservation Foundation has created its first GPS Guided walking tour of East Lake Forest which may be accessed through the free mobile device app PocketSights.  The free app may be downloaded on either Apple or Android mobile devices through the respective app stores.

The walking tour titled East Lake Forest Walking Tour includes 34 points of interest that encompass historical or architectural locations within the East Lake Forest Historic District. The entire walking tour is 5 miles in length and at each point of interest descriptive information is provided.

The walking tour originates and finishes in Market Square, however the walking tour may be started any place along the route and does not need to be walked in entirety but may be divided into shorter increments at the walker's discretion.  By selecting Follow Me, the user will be able to easily follow their location on the mapped route.

The Lake Forest Preservation Foundation is dedicated to the stewardship, safeguarding, and endurance of our exceptional architectural and landscape legacy for succeeding generations, through public education, historic preservation and advocacy.
