Lake Forest Preservation Foundation’s mission is to protect the visual character of Lake Forest through a shared commitment to inspire the appreciation of and respect for our vast historic resources. We invite you to join in our mission to raise awareness of Lake Forest’s architectural history by becoming a member.
The Foundation is committed to principles that ensure that the historic architectural integrity of Lake Forest is being preserved for future generations. We promote historic preservation through advocacy and education, and encourage voluntarism and conservation. By becoming a member, you will help support these critical preservation components. In addition, memberships also bring in the vital funds needed by the Foundation to underwrite preservation projects and to provide restoration grants. Past recipients include Gorton, Ragdale, Elawa Farm, the east Lake Forest Train Station, and Walden Bridge.
Membership benefits at various levels include a subscription to Preservation, the Foundation’s newsletter, programs, workshops and lectures, tours of historic homes, gardens and neighborhoods, and the Historic Home Holiday Party. LFPF membership also gives you an opportunity to learn more about Lake Forest’s five historic districts, its many historic structures, and endangered sites.
